Data Errors or Corrections
If you think a score or data point on a facility page is wrong, please email us. Include the facility name, the page URL, and what you believe is incorrect. We'll check it against the CMS source data.
Note: Our data comes directly from CMS. If the official CMS data is what you believe is wrong, you can submit a correction at medicare.gov/care-compare.
Media and Research Inquiries
Journalists, researchers, and policy organizations are welcome to reach out about data, methodology, or partnership questions.

Facility Owners and Administrators
We don't accept payment to change rankings or scores. Scores are calculated from CMS data using the same formula for every facility in the country.
If your facility's CMS data contains an error, the fastest path to correction is through CMS directly. Contact your state survey agency or the CMS regional office.
What We Can't Help With
- Placing a family member in a specific nursing home
- Medical or legal advice
- Accessing private health records
- Contacting facilities on your behalf
For independent help finding and evaluating nursing homes, contact your state's Long-Term Care Ombudsman. It's a free service in every state. Find yours at acl.gov/ltc.
